Parallel Programming with OpenMP (Waterloo)

Speaker: Jemmy Hu, SHARCNET

The use of OpenMP has become the de facto industry standard for parallel programming on shared-memory systems. It also makes implicit use of the multi-core of modern cluster nodes. This seminar will introduce the OpenMP programming model and compiler directives with examples. Attendees will learn how to convert existing serial code to OpenMP parallel code, compiling and running OpenMP codes on SHARCNET systems.
